I don’t normally go for this style of music, but for some reason (maybe because I have been researching new music for a couple of hours right now) I really like it. It’s a soulful yet bouncy track inspired in part by Björk and Missy Elliott. Bells Atlas is based in Oakland, CA, with Nigerian-American songwriter, Sandra Lawson-Ndu, on the vocals and Derek Barber, Geneva Harrison, and Doug Stuart completing the band’s Afro-Indie-Soul sound by adding a range of influences including Hip-Hop, Samba, R&B, Post Rock, and Indie Pop.
